Karen McCullough has been inspiring lives as a highly successful entrepreneur for over 20 years and is passionate about helping people achieve the success they deserve.
Karen's mother was the first female credit manager for one of the finest department stores in Cleveland, Ohio back in the late 50's when most moms were home baking cookies. Karen was the store's youngest employee. Her retail career began at the bottom, in the store's receiving department. She worked in gift-wrap, window display, merchandising, and as a sales associate in women's fashion and men's wear. Karen's retail career continued while working her way through Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, the home of the first Limited clothing store. She worked for one of the most powerful branding gurus Leslie Wexler, founder and CEO of The Limited Stores, and later with Ralph Lauren.
In 1981 Karen moved to Houston and opened a small clothing store. Within 10 years the shop grew into a multi-million dollar four store chain. In 1997 she closed the business, became a consultant, and did it again...for her competitors. Karen's key to rapid success was her clear branding strategy. She quickly created a unique brand for her stores by using the branding principles she learned from her retail mentors Wexler and Lauren.
Today, she has transitioned from selling and marketing to teaching the success principles she used to create her business. Karen effectively shows people how to leverage their personal style, values and talents to achieve the success they deserve. Karen speaks around the country to an impressive list of businesses, associations and organizations, sharing her tremendous insights and principles on topics of success, leadership, sales, teambuilding, customer service, and stress. Karen has walked her talk. She speaks from her experiences, her successes and her failures. She is funny, smart, and she is real. She connects to the heart as well as to the intellect, and she makes sense. Karen McCullough is a speaker who makes a difference in the lives of those who hear her.
