Gen Y Dances to Gaga in an Apple Store!

I love going to the Apple Store.  I love  all the Apple products, I love the atmosphere in the store- great energy and I love the diversity of people!  …

The last time I was there I saw Traditionalists deep in conversation having their one-on-one hour with their  Gen Y instructor.

Boomers were sitting at the Genius Bar praying  they hadn’t lost their data.

Gen X ers were looking, trying and buying

and

then there was Trevor…

a 13 year old Gen Y dancing to  Lady Gaga’s, Born This Way and absolutely nobody in the Apple Store is noticing him.

Not a look. Everyone is way more into the iPad2!

Today many are challenged with  the 20 somethings in the workplace…

wait until Trevor goes to work!

  1. Karen- THANKS FOR THE POST! That is HYSTERICAL! We need more diversity in the workplace…and that means diversity of GENERATIONS. I’d hire him tomorrow, if I had a job!

Scott you are too funny! We both are in the “get a real Job” category. The internet and web 2.0 encourages all of us and especially Gen Y and the youngest Gen Z to express themselves! Madonna was such a profit!

Karen, I am laughing so hard. Now every time I go into the Apple Store for a one-to-one I will think of Trevor and have a good laugh. It is an amazing thing that no one really paid attention to him. Is it that normal? I am really old.

  3. Hi Terry! Thanks for taking the time to let me know how hard you laughed. I was thinking about you and your one to one’s at Apple and wondered if Trevor was there at Tyson’s Corner’s Apple. Glad it make you laugh!

  4. Funny, Karen. I’ve never been into an Apple store. I might need to check one out.

  5. HILARIOUS!!!! I am speechless… LOL!!! He was too funny! Definitely in his own world with no one else around. lol!!!

    Ha
Trevor strikes terror in 40+ YO managers. What the heck would they do with him? Try to control him? Personally I would love to see that! Fortunately for Trevor, by the time he enters the work force most of the fuddy, dud…. er I mean Boomers will be on their way out or to far up the food chain to be his direct supervisor. Or even better he’ll invent a better mouse trap, grow a large company and hire those boomers to work FOR HIM.
