Here are my top reasons for not only using the phone but also teaching Gen Y how and why to use the phone:
1. Speaking your message allows the listener to ask questions and gain clarity.
2. The phone is a teaching tool.
3. The phone is immediate. You hear the answerer and you can discuss the possibilities.
4. You give off great non-verbal signals via the phone. We hear your voice quality (confidence), tone, and emotions. (Maybe that’s why some folks prefer to hide behind texting!)
5. The phone is a fantastic way to interact with your boss, coworker or customer and build the BRAND!
